# NRO grant for ACA research

## Background

Our research line on [Automated Conversational Assessment (ACA)](https://www.edudacs.nl/projects/67c19022748fbc62d93a576f) has another success story to share. We were granted a project in the [NRO ](https://www.nro.nl/)call "Inzicht in onderwijsvernieuwing 2024" on *Automatic conversational assessments for formative and summative purposes in higher education*. The project will be led by Prof. Joosten-ten Brinke and will be collaboration between [DACS ](https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/research/department-advanced-computing-sciences)and [SHE ](https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/nl/research/school-health-professions-education-0)of Maastricht University, and [Fontys](https://www.fontys.nl/Onderzoek/Technology-enhanced-assessment.htm). 

The plan is to further develop our prototype and to establish stronger learning analytics foundations and field validation of the ACA technology.
